Who Are We?
Samuel Nadeau - Founder
As a passionate and forward-thinking volleyball enthusiast, Samuel has always prioritized the athletic and personal development of young athletes. His experience spans from organizing local camps, coaching youth teams, holding various roles with Volleyball Canada, and serving as an assistant coach at multiple post-secondary institutions. Through these diverse roles, Samuel has gained a comprehensive understanding of the volleyball landscape in Canada and is driven by a desire to create more opportunities for aspiring volleyball athletes across the country.
During his early years in collegiate coaching, Samuel recognized a significant challenge: identifying athletes who met the specific needs of his program. He quickly discovered that every university and college in Canada has its own unique set of criteria and expectations when it comes to recruiting. This realization inspired him to create a platform that bridges the gap between post-secondary programs and young athletes which creates a space that simplifies the recruiting process, fosters nationwide connections and remains accessible and affordable. His mission is to make it easier for athletes to take that next step in their volleyball journey, while helping programs across Canada discover the right talent to grow the game.
Who Are We?
Tristan Morneault - Marketing
With a strong background in athletics, Tristan recently earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Sport Management from the University of Minnesota Crookston. From an early age, he competed in multiple sports including soccer, hockey, cross country, and track & field all while living in a volleyball orientated family. His dad coached multiple years in the sport ranging from the middle school level, all the way to the university level. His mom played at the Université de Moncton for 4 years and coached youth volleyball as well. Lastly, his sister played 7 years of youth volleyball through middle and high school. Therefore, he's had his fair share of spending weekends in gyms and helping out his parents whenever he could. Nonetheless, over time his focus shifted to running and he earned an athletic scholarship to compete in cross country at the NCAA Division II level for the University of Minnesota Crookston.
A natural leader both on and off the field, Tristan is passionate about giving back to the sports community. He currently coaches youth soccer and track & field and plans to pursue a career in collegiate coaching.
As a former collegiate athlete, Tristan understands firsthand how overwhelming the recruitment process can be without the right tools and support. His vision for VolleyLink is to simplify that journey by putting the spotlight on dedicated volleyball athletes and helping them connect with the right university or college program. At the same time, VolleyLink offers coaches a personalized and effective tool to identify athletes who best fit their team’s needs.
